Kindred Lutheran Church answers the call by feeding the homeless.
Join Us in Feeding The Homeless (cancelled at this time)
Kindred Lutheran Church prepares, cooks and serves dinner at Churches United for the Homeless in Moorhead, MN, on the third Friday of every month from 4PM to 7:15PM. Typically a team of 5 to 6 adults and youth work together to serve 100 or more adults and children at the shelter. In 2013 alone, Churches United for the Homeless served 121,000 meals!
Churches United for the Homeless is the largest shelter in northwestern Minnesota and is the only shelter within 225 miles that is able to accommodate single men, single women, and both one and two parent families. They offer a safe haven to those most in need, a chance to reflect on the direction they wish for their lives, and the opportunity to utilize our community’s many resources in achieving their goals.
The three ARROWS remind us that we are “sent” by Jesus into our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and everyday lives to represent Him for the sake of the world.
Jesus tells us, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).
We encourage one another to reach out to others by investing in their lives and inviting them to Christ and his church.
