Mission Trip

Mission trips offer us an opportunity to be God’s hands and feet in the world, to meet God in unexpected places and to be transformed!

You may have an opportunity to love and lead children in a summer program or to visit with the elderly in the community. You may also bring hope to local residents by painting houses, performing minor home repair, cleaning up debris or volunteering with community projects. You might work at a homeless shelter, elderly home, children's program, home rehab ministries and more.

This tangible wo rk is a great way for us to serve and build relationships within a community in Christ’s name.  Your group will serve in a variety of ways throughout your mission trip. You may spend all week serving at one service site or switch between service sites during the week. As always, things are subject to change so come flexible and ready to serve!

In 2009 we headed to New Orleans and did service projects as part of the National Youth Gathering.  In 2011, we served the people of Martin, South Dakota!

The three ARROWS remind us that we are "sent" by Jesus into our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, schools, and everyday lives to represent Him for the sake of the world.  Jesus tells us, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8).  We encourage one another to reach out to others by investing in their lives and inviting them to Christ and his church.
