Seeking to support our youth and families, we celebrate several important events during the life of our youth.
Back to School
At the beginning of September on Rally Sunday we gather the students together and say a prayer of blessing over all of them.
First Bibles are received in both preschool and 3rd grade. Classes are held for the parents and the third grade students in September & October to equip them for receiving their Bibles.
First communion classes are held for 5th graders in the spring during Lent. They receive communion on Maundy Thursday.
One to two times a year, we hold a New Member Luncheon and celebrate our new members during worship on New Member Sunday. Look at the calendar for an idea on when the next new member activities are!
If you are interested in becoming a member of Kindred Lutheran Church, please complete the New Member Form which is available here.
We look forward to welcoming you as the newest members of Kindred Lutheran Church! You’ll discover that our passion is to provide a place where people just like you can have a life-changing experience with Jesus Christ. A place where we are gathered to grow…and sent to serve!
Confirmation—the time when you become an adult and respond to God’s gift of salvation through Jesus Christ and his call on your life. Classes are held for 8th and 9th graders. Click here for additional information.
High School Graduation
For the high school graduates we give them the gift of a quilt and a blessing to send them on their way on their next great adventure. We also sponsor the annual baccalaureate service with the other area churches.
The LEAF reminds us that we are gathered “to grow”.
We recall Jesus’ words, “I am the vine, you are the branches. If a person remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5-6).
We offer learning opportunities for all ages and small groups designed to help you grow while fostering friendships with other people in a safe and caring environment. No one should stand alone.
