Discipleship/New Member Class
This class typically meets in January/February and is for people contemplating membership in Kindred Lutheran Church as well as for those wanting to explore what it means to be a bold, daring, adventurous follower of Jesus Christ!  You are invited to a special New Member Orientation Class with Pastor Andrew.  Adults are required to attend all sessions.  We look forward to welcoming new members into our church family.   If you are interested in becoming a member of Kindred Lutheran Church, please contact Pastor Andrew or the Church Office at 428-3630.

Circles
Circles are for women who like to gather, laugh, cry, study, pray, eat and grow in faith!  Circle gatherings are small groups of women who study and discuss Scripture lessons on themes that inform and inspire us in Christian living. The fellowship uplifts our spirits and challenges us to become active in mission to others. Consider joining a circle!

The LEAF reminds us that we are gathered “to grow”.  We recall Jesus’ words, "I am the vine, you are the branches.  If a person remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing" (John 15:5-6).  We offer learning opportunities for all ages and small groups designed to help you grow while fostering friendships with other people in a safe and caring environment.  No one should stand alone.

The Story @ Home

As David Anderson from Vibrant Faith Ministries likes to say, “The two most important factors in passing on faith are: #1, what Dad says and does, and #2, what Mom says and does.” These materials offer Mom and Dad (and really, any adult within the household) words and practices that echo what is spoken and what happens “at church.” Our target is that the language and practice of faith formation not remain a once-a-week endeavor, but instead work toward being a daily journey.

In preparing the Children of Israel for their entry into the Promised Land, Moses instructs the adults: "Keep
these words that I am commanding you today in your heart. Recite them to your children and talk about
them when you are at home and when you are away, when you lie down and when you rise. Bind them as
a sign on your hand, fix them as an emblem on your forehead, and write them on the doorposts of your
house and on your gates" (Deuteronomy 6:6-9, NRSV). May this material serve as a way of binding God’s Living Word on the hands, the foreheads, the doorposts and gates of your household.
